Q: Tell us about your background with SAM.
A: I began my employment with SAM in the Fall of 2018. Throughout the first year of employment, I spent time as both a District Manager and Training & Development Manager. I was then fortunate enough to receive a promotion to the newly created position of Director of Operations, where I have spent the last 2 ½ years driving our training, compliance, standardization, and efficiency efforts. As VP of Strategic Initiatives, I will be responsible for supporting the SAM leadership team with strategic management of revenue-focused initiatives and projects across all departments.
Q: What do you like most about working for SAM?
A: Without a doubt, it is the culture and atmosphere of this team and ownership. Having the security and opportunity that comes with a growing, successful company is great, however, true fulfillment will never come if you don’t enjoy your “day-to-day”.
Q: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
A: Time for extracurricular activities and hobbies has certainly diminished over the past couple of years with my wife and I raising two young children (Nolan -7 & Campbell – 4), but I wouldn’t trade that for any hobby. When I do get some free time, I enjoy golfing, landscaping/gardening, participating in almost any sport (except soccer), and I am a huge NFL football fan.
Q: Can you share a fun fact about yourself?
A: While visiting Las Vegas on a business trip, I once got the opportunity to sing the “hook” to Funky Cold Medina, into Tone Loc’s microphone, while standing next to him performing live.
